The External Breastforms Program is intended for women who have undergone a breast removal surgery (mastectomy) or who have a total absence of breast formation (aplasia). The program provides a reimbursement for the purchase or replacement cost of external breastforms.

 

Effective as of March 21, 2018, women who have undergone a partial mastectomy are also eligible. 

 

For each breast and pre a 24-month period, the program will reimburse the purchase or the replacement of an external breastform up to a maximum of:

 

$447 for a full external breast prosthesis 

$264 for a partial external breast prosthesis 

 

If you have personal health insurance, you may be eligible to receive reimbursements for other expenses such as bras.
